As 2025 comes to a close, the International Lawyers Network reflects on a year defined by connection, collaboration, and meaningful engagement across our global community.

From in-person conferences and virtual programming to thought leadership and cross-border referrals, this year showcased what makes the ILN work: committed member firms, active collaboration, and a shared focus on delivering high-quality legal support to clients with international needs.

A Snapshot of 2025, By the Numbers

In 2025, the ILN hosted two in-person conferences, welcoming attendees from more than 30 countries, alongside four global webinars that extended engagement to 32 countries worldwide, with continued on-demand viewership following each session.

ILN member firms also continued to make a strong impact through thought leadership. During the year, members published 82 pieces of content on JD Supra, generating nearly 350,000 views — an increase from 2024 despite publishing fewer articles. This work reached readers at multinational and Fortune 500 companies, including Huawei, Oracle, Pfizer, Intel, and Abbott Laboratories, highlighting the growing visibility of ILN member expertise among global in-house audiences.

On the business side, ILN firms continued to exchange a significant volume of cross-border referrals throughout the year, reflecting active collaboration across jurisdictions. Referral activity was recorded across multiple regions, with additional matters still being logged as year-end reporting is finalized.

Strengthening Collaboration Through Specialty Groups

ILN Specialty Groups remained a cornerstone of collaboration throughout 2025. Members contributed to major cross-border resources, including multi-hundred-page guides across Corporate, Real Estate, Cybersecurity & Data Privacy, and Restructuring & Insolvency, alongside ongoing discussions, blog posts, and webinars.

These groups continue to provide practical platforms for relationship-building, knowledge sharing, and referrals across practice areas and jurisdictions.

Advancing Sustainability Across the Network

In 2025, the ILN also reached an important milestone in its sustainability journey, improving its EcoVadis rating from Bronze to Silver. This achievement reflects ongoing efforts to integrate responsible business practices into ILN operations, including more sustainable conference practices, reduced reliance on printed materials, and continued alignment of internal policies and training with ESG goals.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Momentum continues into 2026, with two conferences already on the calendar:

  • Montreal Regional Conference | May 28–31, 2026
  • Dublin Annual Conference | October 4–6, 2026

As the Network looks ahead, our focus remains on strengthening connections, supporting member firms, and continuing to evolve alongside the needs of global clients.

Thank you to all ILN members for contributing to a dynamic and impactful year. We look forward to building on this progress together in 2026.
